Antique Erotica

To cheaply purchase the DVD and other titles in this series, check sources on the Internet such as here: ShootingStarVideo

The authentic antique erotica series is a great offering from the Porn industry as it harkensback to a time of old fashioned values when people were more romantically sensible, and sensitive too.

As such its a thrill of an offering for the old fashioned crowd. It would certainly be a nicer world if folks all put a bit of love back into it all, although its certainly NOT the focus of the action in this movie. Instead, its set in a time period, in which you make the connections based on what are your own ideas of what it is that people thought and actually felt like in those days, in
encounters such as those on this DVD.

For those who have remained with wholesome tastes or in any event would relate to the culture back in the twenties to forties or even fifties perhaps, this is a movie you should own.

White Mischief (1988)
Ms. Greta Scacchi, Charles Dance, Joss Ackland

Difficillia quae pulchra

"(the beautiful is difficult of attainment)"

White Mischief is the loveliest (British genre) movie that was abandoned by the industry in the north American market decades ago and never released onto DVD in NTSC form as the producers simply felt there was no money to be made in offering a movie with the most beautiful female star there will ever be imaginable in the human psyche, as alas they failed to appreciate that this quality had any relative worth perhaps. Whatever the inane reasoning, its the most stupid decision ever made by the cowboys of Hollywood, depriving Ms. Scacchi of potentially millions of what was her due, perhaps based on her refusal of the casting couch after the fact, or perhaps based on widespread envy of her supreme beauty. in any event i would have paid for it gladly, it cost almost fifty bucks (cdn) to purchase this German copy on ebay, and I was happy enough to just get my hands on it as I have never been more in love ever - than with the loveliest woman of all - Greta Scacchi in her role here. I'm hoping to get her a sweetheart deal worth a real fortune to give us autographs after we get this into the court of public opinion to see how much she is owed for the loss of revenue by accountants that have no sense of bottom line revenue potential, let alone insanely supreme beauty. Someone
oughta lose their job, thats fer shure!

Movie summary: "The mores of exchanging sexual favours for money while leaving love behind is something that will forever be a challenge if not put into perspective and ensuring a distribution of "resources" based on merit to avoid travesty. That's my take on it however it would be a bit of a stretch for most people to see this in the movie at this point as the ultimate lesson we have to learn. May the best man win, and lets make it possible for him to enjoy his victory to the fullest rather than having to compromise with the dictates of lesser beings."

The movie is touted as "high budget" (I suppose in an effort to justify the
$40 - $50 price tag on the Internet for the DVD of it - PLUS shipping!)

The fact of the matter is that it doesn
't give that impression in reality
although there certainly are a couple of old ships that were rented for the
making of this movie production - and some costumes too indeed.

The main appeal of this movie is that there is an attempt at a storyline of some
sort I suppose, and that there are some nice sex scenes where the lighting adds to
the ambiance and there is some beauty in the blonde spirit that is being bestowed
on the planet through this manner.

That said, it is an incredulously callous attempt at a sensible script.
The scenes include one in which a demonic looking pirate, quite obviously with the
mindset of a witch no doubt, decides on a whim to take a lovely Irish gal and have
her thrown overboard off the ship into shark infested waters in order to feed the
appetites of inane minded movie viewers I would guess as some form of perverted
entertainment.

I submit that the world has gone too far with sort of idea of what is a fun enough
thing to do' - and its time we took back the world from such obviously perverted
creatures, in all respects too.

Nonetheless, its got some appeal as a piece of curiosity in moviemaking history as
no doubt this sort of a mindset will soon be a thing of the past in our midst.
